Communication
Compass
Compass is used for reporting absences and email communication. Reports will also be published twice a year through Compass.
Our Primary program is designed to build strong foundations in learning, wellbeing, and independence. Underpinned by the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0, we provide a structured, supportive environment where every student is known, valued, and challenged at their point of need.
Learning in the primary years focuses on the development of literacy and numeracy through explicit teaching, hands-on experiences, and meaningful real-world connections. Students are supported to develop communication skills using a range of methods, including speech, visuals, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), ensuring all learners can participate and express their thinking.
Our curriculum is intentionally flexible and responsive. Teachers use ongoing assessment to tailor learning experiences, provide targeted support, and celebrate individual progress. Alongside academic learning, we place a strong emphasis on respectful relationships, social skills and self-regulation.
Through engaging classroom programs and specialist learning opportunities, students are encouraged to explore, create, problem-solve, and develop confidence as learners. Our Primary program lays the groundwork for lifelong learning by fostering curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
Seesaw
Seesaw is used to share updates of your child's learning through pictures, work they have completed and videos. You can also contact your child's teacher through the messaging function and staff will share flyers and information each week on this platform. Each family will be provided with a QR code for logging into this.
OSHC
- Marra School have been selected as one of the six schools to be allocated funding through the High Intensity program for 2026. This is a fully funded program, meaning that the cost of OSHC for our families is free.

Parent Payments
